CROWN POINT | Mayor David Uran joined the Geminus Head Start Full Day Classroom at the Holy Name location in Cedar Lake to read “If You Give a Pig a Pancake” in honor of celebrating The Week of the Young Child.

Head Start is a Federally Funded program that provides preschool services to children ages three to five. The Holy Name location services children from Crown Point, Cedar Lake, Lowell, Dyer and Schneider.

Mayor Uran joined Holy Family Child Care at St. Anthony Chapel in proclaiming the week of April 15 through 21 as The Week of the Young Child. The celebration was held in Crown Point April 16.
