The Hoosier Lottery is handing out free Mega Millions tickets today to the first 154 players in Crown Point and Munster.

The tickets will be distributed starting at noon at The Hen, 524 N. Main St. in Crown Point, and Strack & Van Til, 12 Ridge Road, Munster.

Those locations were chosen because each has sold a winning Mega Millions ticket.

In January 2011, David and Peggy Keller, of Crown Point, bought a $1 million winning ticket at The Hen. One month later, the Bolke family, of Dyer, won the state's first Mega Millions jackpot prize — $46.5 million — on a ticket bought at the Munster Strack & Van Til.

The tickets are for Friday night's $154 Mega Millions estimated jackpot.
