CROWN POINT | Mike Anderson Chevrolet in Merrillville has donated $17,000 to fund this year’s Crown Point Fourth of July fireworks show.

“We are so grateful for the generosity of Mike Anderson,” Crown Point Fourth of July Co-chair Michelle Katsaros said. “This is the second year his donation has fully funded our fireworks show. This is particularly great because 100% of the cost of the Fourth of July parade and fireworks are funded by donations.”

Mike Anderson said he is glad to assist.

“We’re happy to help out with this wonderful community event,” Anderson said. “The fireworks show is spectacular and we’re glad to be a part of it.”

The free fireworks’ show at the Lake County Fairgrounds starts at dusk on July 4. It borders Fancher Lake, which makes for a magnificent visual show, Katsaros said.
