CROWN POINT | The first annual “A Hole Lot of Fun” mini golf event will be held on June 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Crown Point Community Library. The new library will be transformed into an 18-hole miniature putting course for the day. The course will be set up throughout the first and second floors, including a special “19th Hole” in the meeting rooms that will feature refreshments, games and more.
For the bargain price of only $5 a player or $20 for a group of five, golfers will have a “hole lot of fun” winding their way through book stacks, hallways, reading areas and stairwells.
The 19th Hole Food and Fun Zone will include food and treats for purchase including Crown Town Grill hotdogs, Cold Stone Creamery ice cream and more. Hole in One prizes, games, face painting…fun for the whole family. Players will also have the option to sign up early for the library’s summer reading program “Dig Into Reading.”
All proceeds from this event will support programming and events for children, teens and adults at both the Crown Point Library and Winfield Branch Library.
The library would like to thank these early sponsors for supporting this fun event: McCarroll Dental, Franciscan St. Anthony Health Crown Point, Centier Bank, Liss Carstar, Vanis Salon & Day Spa, Crown Point Family Fun Center, White Hawk Country Club, Saddle & Spurs 4H Club, The Crown Town Grill, The City of Crown Point, The Idea Factory, Janet Katich, Laura Zato Art & Photography, Shirer Insurance Services, First Savings Bank of Hegewisch, Friends of the Crown Point Library, NIPSCO, State Farm, Bob Rees, Methodist Hospital, Down to Earth Tree Service, Star Plaza, Railcats, Blast Camp Paintball, AMC Theatres, Jaks Warehouse.
