CROWN POINT | The Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable recently announced the election of new officers to its Executive Committee.
Joe Coar, of Tonn & Blank Construction, LLC, was elected Chairman, while William Satterlee III, of Hoeppner, Wagener & Evans, LLP, was nominated Vice Chairman.
Dewey Pearman, of the Construction Advancement Foundation, was chosen as Secretary. Tim Ross, of Franciscan Alliance, was designated Treasurer. Andrea Pearman, CEO of Diversified Marketing Strategies, Inc., was named Interim Executive Director.
The members of NWIBRT are committed to providing a safe work place for their employees and other persons working or visiting on their premises, along with education opportunities for industry professionals.
Beginning in March, NWIBRT will partner with the Construction Advancement Foundation of Northwest Indiana to offer a Supervisory Training Program, which was developed by the Associated General Contractors of America. The curriculum for this 10-part program focuses on construction supervision.
NWIBRT also recently teamed with the American Society of Safety Engineers to present the Beyond Safety Conference and Expo, which took place Feb. 19 and 20 at the Radisson Star Plaza in Merrillville.
“Our Executive Committee is an exceptional group of people, all of whom are committed to safety in the workplace,” Andrea Pearman said. “I am looking forward to working with the committee to strive for the improvement of construction and maintenance projects in Northwest Indiana.”
NWIBRT consists of representatives from some of Northwest Indiana’s largest businesses in the state of Indiana. Members include BP, NIPSCO and ArcelorMittal. A few of the largest functions that NWIBRT holds each year include an annual Safety Awards Banquet, a golf outing and a Reliability Seminar.
