CROWN POINT | The largest construction industry golf outing in northern Indiana will take place July 22 at White Hawk Country Club in Crown Point.
The Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable hosts the event every year, welcoming more than 300 professionals to enjoy a day of golf and networking.
“This event is really for anyone who is interested in making connections with business-owners and executives in the construction industry,” NWIBRT Interim Executive Director Andrea Pearman said. “And White Hawk Country Club boasts one of the best-regarded golf courses in the area. It is really the only event of its kind in Northwest Indiana.”
Registration and a hot breakfast will begin at 8 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Participants will enjoy drive-up bag service upon arrival and are also treated to unlimited beverages during play, with numerous drink carts and coolers available throughout the course.
All 36 holes of the course are in play during the event to ensure a good pace, and prizes are given to the top teams, Pearman said.
This will be the first year that the event features a “Golf Ball Drop,” during which thousands of golf balls will be dropped from a plane onto one of the holes at White Hawk. Tickets can be purchased before the event, with each ticket assigned a ball. The ball that lands closest to the hole during the drop wins the ticketholder $1,000.
Several different levels of sponsorships are currently available for the outing, Pearman added. Tickets for NWIBRT members and subscribers cost $150 for a single player and $600 for a foursome. For those who are not members or subscribers, single tickets cost $200 for a single and $800 for a foursome. Tickets can be purchased at www.nwibrt.org/golf-outing, or by calling (219) 226-0300.
Those who do not wish to golf still have chances to enjoy networking opportunities available at the event. General admission tickets are available which include breakfast, lunch and cocktails, but exclude the round of golf.
The event supports NWIBRT, which is a not-for-profit council of local firms committed to the improvement of construction and maintenance projects in Northwest Indiana.
