CROWN POINT | A 40-year-old man was rushed to the hospital Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle on the courthouse square in Crown Point, police said.
The man was struck by a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Crown Point man who didn't see him in the crosswalk, Crown Point Police Chief Pete Land said.
The driver was westbound on U.S. 231 and hit the man while making a left turn to go south on Main Street, Land said.
The pedestrian suffered a head injury and was rushed to Franciscan St. Anthony Health in Crown Point, he said.
Police were still investigating late Wednesday.
