CROWN POINT | The Animal Adoption and Control Center will host its second annual Pet Oktoberfest between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday at the Lake County Fairgrounds. There will be pet vendors along with animal rescue groups, the Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit and Posse, Lake County Sheriff John Buncich said Monday.
Also available will be adoption information.
Owners are encouraged to dress their pets in Halloween costumes for a costume contest. Children will enjoy pumpkin decorating and coloring contests and face painting. Refreshments will be available.
Admission is $5 and free for children age 6 and younger. All monies will go to to medical care and feline cages at the shelter.
