CROWN POINT | Lake County police are accusing a Lakes of the Four Seasons woman of drunken driving following a collision early Friday with a Crown Point police car.

Crown Point Officer Dave Wilkins was driving south on Court Street on the downtown square about 2 a.m. when a black 2012 Ford Fusion, going the wrong way on U.S. 231, struck the squad car head-on, police said.

Police identified the other driver as 21-year-old Tricia Hein.

Neither driver was injured. Hein was taken to the hospital and tested positive for alcohol in her blood, police said.

Crown Point police asked the Lake County Sheriff's Department to investigate the crash.

Patti Van Til, a spokeswoman for county police, said Hein also is being charged with driving left of center and driving without headlights.
