CROWN POINT | A request to rezone land on 113th Avenue in Crown Point has been deferred for a second straight month.
Petitioner Mark Kendra is seeking to have about 40 acres of farmland at 812 E. 113th Avenue zoned for business.
Kendra needed additional time to make sure the new zoning class will meet development needs of the site, including the potential for hotels or office space, Crown Point planning officials said.
The Plan Commission agreed to Kendra's request to defer the matter to its February meeting. Previously it had been postponed to this month from December.
