CROWN POINT | A request to permit a roof height exceeding standards on a project at 1555 S. Main was approved by the Crown Point Board of Zoning Appeals.
Mainstreet Properties plans a senior living facility at the location with a roof reaching 39 feet at its top height. Development standards permit a roof height of 35 feet.
The roof height is needed to accommodate the facility's architectural style with a cathedral ceiling, an architect for the project said.
A 65,955-square-foot, 100-bed facility is planned.
