CROWN POINT | Vanis Salon & Day Spa in Crown Point is holding a Cut-a-Thon from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, with all proceeds benefiting the Cedar Lake Boys & Girls Club to help enrich its academic programs.

The salon, 107 N. Main St., will be offering haircuts for a minimum donation of $30, which will go to the Cedar Lake club. Appointments are limited; call  (219) 663-5200.

“This event is going to be amazing thanks to the generosity of local businesses and the Vanis staff. We are going to offer fabulous hair, great food, generous giveaways, and all the proceeds go to a great cause!” said Jay Fischer of Vanis.

The event will have giveaways from local businesses and food donated by Station 21, and treats donated by Crown Town Grill.

Patrons can also enjoy a complimentary hand message, skin-care consultation or make-up touch up after a haircut from a Vanis professional.

Through fundraising events like the Vanis Cares Cut-a-Thon, the six Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana are able to keep membership dues at $10 per year, per child.
