CROWN POINT | Fourth through eighth grade students of St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point recently participated in the 2013 talent show.

The competition took place Friday, Feb. 1, in the school gymnasium. The performances included piano, guitar, and violin solos, as well as vocal performances. Different forms of dance, comedy, and tumbling were also featured in the show.

Fifth grader Grace O’Donnell was awarded first place for her lyrical dance performance to “A Thousand Years.” The show, organized by first year teacher, Miss Sarah Wieser, capped off Catholic Schools Week for the students of St. Mary’s.
