St. Mary Students visit WGN Studios

CROWN POINT | At "Chicago's very own" WGN Studios, students from St. Mary's School recently received a behind the scenes look at television broadcasting.

Elias Gerodemos, Madison Grcevich, Blake Lopez, and Kristel Villarosa were treated to a tour by anchorwoman Lourdes Duarte, and experienced a live program with anchors Steve Sanders, Dina Blair, and weatherman Tom Skilling.

From inside a news van to the director's booth they witness the talents that come together to create a daily news program. The students will put these new ideas and experiences into action as they create St. Mary's daily, student run news program, WSMW (St. Mary's Wildcat News).
