HAMMOND | Art teachers not only open new worlds of creativity to their students, but are true artists in their own right. Calumet College of St. Joseph will exhibit their works in the Elementary and High School Teachers Art Exhibit opening Thursday.

The opening reception will be held from 4:30 to  6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Bernard Gallery at Calumet College of St. Joseph, and the public is welcome to attend. The exhibit may be viewed through June 29.

Mediums include painting, drawing, sculpture, three-dimensional art, mixed medium and photography. Some of the participating teachers are from Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond, Crown Point High School, Hammond High School, Hebron High School, and Marquette High School in Michigan City.
