Hit, Pit and Run at C.P. field

CROWN POINT | Pitch, Hit, and Run is a skills competition for ages 7 to 14 that provides boys and girls the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championship events at all 30 Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game. It's from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Crown Point Sportsplex, 1313 E. North St.

Federation walks for Israel

MUNSTER | The Northwest Indiana Jewish Community and its supporters host a Walk with Israel beginning at 9 a.m. at The Jewish Federation, 585 Progress Ave. The walk is followed by a special performance by Israeli musician Ramy Feinstein. Registration for the walk is $5 and includes falafel and hummus from Chef Sigy's Kitchen or a choice of hot dogs and chips. There are events scheduled throughout the day. Nordik heritage is celebrated
