CROWN POINT | First United Methodist Church, 352 S. Main St., offers Sept. 11 memorial services at 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on the southwest corner of the church property at the 9/11 Memorial.
Trade Center beam unveiled
SCHERERVILLE | Schererville holds its annual Sept. 11 memorial service from 6 to 7 p.m. at the memorial site near the Schererville Police Department parking lot, 25 E. Joliet St. A beam from a World Trade Center tower will be unveiled during the service.
Vigil commemorates victims
HIGHLAND | A candlelight vigil to commemorate the lives lost on 9/11 is from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Highway of Flags Memorial, Ridge Road and U.S. 41.
See Great Lakes Navy Band
HOBART | The Great Lakes Navy Band Liberty Call Ensemble performs from 7 to 8 p.m. at Festival Park, 111 E. Old Ridge Road. It's hosted by the Hobart Community Foundation. In case of rain, the show will move to Hobart Middle School, 36 E. Eighth St.
