Fat Tuesday bake sale

CROWN POINT | St. Clare Health Clinic sponsors a Fat Tuesday bake sale from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Franciscan St. Anthony Health Crown Point cafeteria, 1201 S. Main St. Proceeds will buy diabetic test strips and otherwise assist diabetic programs offered to clinic clients who are underprivileged Northwest Indiana residents.

Shrove Tuesday services

GRIFFITH | Shrove Tuesday Services are at 2 p.m. in the parking lot of St. Mary Church, 525 N. Broad St, where palms from last year's Palm Sunday services will be burned in preparation for Ash Wednesday services at the church.

Pancake supper scheduled

DYER | Zion United Church of Christ, 14804 W. 113th Ave., Dyer, serves its 60th annual pancake supper with homemade sausage and homemade blueberry syrup from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children.

Dinner starts Lupus Walk effort

EAST CHICAGO | The East Chicago Knights of Columbus serve a fish fry to 4 to 8 p.m. at the lodge, 1104 Knights of Columbus Drive, East Chicago. The dinner includes fried lake or ocean perch, frog legs, shrimp, catfish and baked tilapia and shrimp scampi.
