CROWN POINT | Eleven-year-old Brooklynn Frassinone, of Crown Point, designed the winning logo in the 2013 City of Crown Point St. Patrick's Day Logo contest.
Frassinone's logo depicting a leprechaun surrounded by shamrocks will be displayed on banners along with logos designed by runners-up in the contest.
The second-place design was submitted by Hannah Brownd, 11. Third place went to Tyler Kuss, 10. A design by Abi Neuwirth, 11, placed fourth.
More than 200 logos were submitted by children in Crown Point. Winners all receive Shamrock Shakes courtesy of Crown Point McDonald's/Modrak Corp. and VIP seating for the parade.
For designing the winning logo, Frassinone will be Junior Grand Marshal of the parade, set to kick off at dusk March 17. After three wins in the contest, Frassinone will join the panel of judges to select the 2014 winner.
