CROWN POINT | The Crown Point Community Foundation hosted their first Women Advancing Women Workshop on August 1 at the Community Foundation office on S. Court Street. Jennifer Connelly, program facilitator and Founder of Triple W Forum, enlightened the 50 women about successfully integrating work and home life, discovering stress management techniques, and developing communication and leadership skills. The workshop was so successful that the Foundation has decided to repeat the two-part Women Advancing Women workshop again in October 2013. The session will be held at the Crown Point Community Foundation office located at 115 S. Court Street and is limited to 50 participants.
- Part 1 of the session will be held on October 4, 2013 from 8am-12pm
- Part 2 will be held on January 10, 2014 from 8am-12pm
The cost of the workshop has been underwritten by the Dan and Vicky Klein Endowment Fund, established by the former Hub City mayor and his wife, to provide leadership training opportunities.
There is a fee of $40 for this two-session program, which will support the scholarship for women 21 and older who are returning to school program.
If interested in attending, contact the Foundation as soon as possible, since space is limited and an RSVP is requested by September 17. Call (219) 662-7252 or visit www.theCPCF.org for more details.
