CROWN POINT | The Crown Point Community Foundation hosted its first Women Advancing Women Workshop last month.
Jennifer Connelly, program facilitator and founder of Triple W Forum, enlightened the 50 participants about successfully integrating work and home life, discovering stress management techniques, and developing communication and leadership skills.
The workshop was so successful that the foundation has decided to repeat the two-part Women Advancing Women workshop again next month on Fridays at the Crown Point Community Foundation office, 115 S. Court St.
Part 1 of the workshop will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 4, and Part 2 will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Jan. 10.
The cost of the workshop has been underwritten by the Dan and Vicky Klein Endowment Fund, established by the former Hub City mayor and his wife to provide leadership training opportunities.
There is a fee of $40 for the two-session program, which will support the foundation's scholarship for women 21 and older who are returning to school program.
If interested in attending, contact the Foundation as soon as possible, since space is limited to 50 and an RSVP is requested by Sept. 17. Call (219) 662-7252 or visit www.theCPCF.org for more details.
