DYER | A Chicago man arrested in connection with a burglary in St. John earlier this month has been charged with three other burglaries in Dyer, police said.
Frederick Baker, 22, of the 2800 block of W. 84th Place, was charged with three counts of Class B felony burglary Friday in connection with burglaries in late 2013 in the 200 block of Trillium Drive, 3400 block of Orchid Drive and 3500 block of Orchid Drive, Dyer police said.
Baker was identified as a suspect through DNA evidence collected from crime scenes.
Baker was arrested June 7 in connection with a burglary in St. John in which residents alerted police to a suspicious person in the neighborhood. St. John police apprehended Baker after a foot chase.
Baker allegedly confessed to Dyer detectives about his involvement in the three burglaries during questioning at Lake County Jail.
