The Lake County Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect and two vehicles believed to have been involved in a residential burglary July 4 near Dyer.

Police said the burglary occurred in the early morning near West 101st Avenue and State Line Road.

A man captured on surveillance believed to be involved in the crime is a black man with a medium complexion, heavy build and goatee.

An older model white Chrysler 300M and a late model silver Dodge Avenger with damage to the front quarter also are believed to have been used in the crime. A white minivan with an unknown make and model also was described by witnesses as being involved.
