DYER | The town has tweaked its personnel rules so that they align with an earlier anti-nepotism policy.

Amendments to the town of Dyer Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual were approved during last week's meeting.

The council approved an anti-nepotism policy as required by a new state law.

After Gov. Mitch Daniels signed an anti-nepotism measure into law July 1, municipalities were required to pass anti-nepotism policies or risk not having their tax budgets approved.
