DYER | The Town Council has approved hiring five new firefighters.
David Bultema, Michael Cummins, David Halfeldt, Nicholas Katalinic and Devin Rohrbacher were hired as part-time, on-call firefighters.
All Dyer firefighters are compensated per call. The five will start fire school in March to earn their certifications.
The new hires bring the department’s slate of on-call firefighters to 33.
