DYER | The era of the Pinball Wizard is over, and the town is going to tweak its ordinance accordingly.
The Town Council reviewed proposed changes to rules governing pinball licenses during its April study session. Original license fees were formulated in the 1980s when interest in pinball was at its peak.
The council plans to reduce fees by 75 percent, Town Council President Joe Cinko said. Currently, the charge is $100. Council action will reduce the charge to $25, which is more in line with actual costs to the town, Cinko said.
