DYER | The town has roughly $500,000 currently available to tackle road projects that have continued into this year.
The money is 2013 dollars to be put toward last year’s road contracts, town administrator Rick Eberly told the Town Council.
In 2012, the council and all three utility boards put together a one-dig approach for certain road projects, with road construction and infrastructure replacement being done simultaneously.
A report by town consultant Nies Engineering also identified the following streets as in need of infrastructure work and total reconstruction: Sycamore Drive, Harrison Avenue from Edmond Drive to 215th Street, 211th Street, 212th Place, Cambridge Lane, Cottonwood Drive, Red Oak Drive, Dogwood Drive, Aspen Drive, Potomac Drive and Madison Avenue, north of 213th.
