DYER | The town already recycles its electronics, but is now looking at a potential contract that could earn it cash for those recyclables.
Dyer’s contract for its e-scrap, a term used when electronics are recycled, expires this month. The town is considering a new contract with Acme Certified Business Recycling of Chicago, said Town Council President Joe Cinko.
Currently, the town has arranged for free pickup by a company which then turns its outdated electronics into e-scrap.
According to its website, Acme recycles PCs, laptops, data storage devices, printers, fax and copy machines, cable boxes, modems and other types of electronics.
