DYER | Recent residential burglaries have prompted the Dyer Police Department to schedule an informational meeting to discuss safety.

The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Police Department, 2150 Hart St.

Since Oct. 1, Dyer police have been investigating four burglaries and one attempted burglary.

The most recent cases occurred last weekend. There were a burglary and attempted burglary in the 3400 and 3500 blocks of Orchid Drive, police said.
