DYER | A Dyer family told police they were home early Thursday morning when someone entered their home through an unlocked door and took a purse and electronics.

According to Detective Cmdr. Joe Cinko, the residents told police someone entered the home in the 2600 block of Tulip Tree Lane sometime between 4 and 5:30 a.m.

No one was in custody Thursday morning. Cinko said police are following up on leads in the case.
