DYER | The Town Council will meet in a special work session Thursday with the Redevelopment Commission to talk about road projects.
The 7 p.m. work session is planned for the same night as the council’s regular March study session.
Proposed road projects sparked debate earlier this month at a Town Council study session.
A resident of the Monaldi section of what is known as the Berens-Monaldi neighborhood wanted to know why the streets in Monaldi have gone unrepaired while streets in the Berens section were redone roughly a decade ago.
Town Administrator Rick Eberly said the reconstruction of Cambridge Lane and 211th Street, neither of which are in Monaldi, already have been engineered and must be done before additional work can be accomplished.
If the council were to select different streets for reconstruction, project engineering would need to be completed first and the projects likely would not begin until next year, Eberly said.
