DYER | The Town Council has approved a $1.9 million road project that will involve the repair or reconstruction of five streets.
The project will entail the reconstruction of 211th and Cambridge. Schulte, Norma Lane and Richard Road will undergo repairs.
There has been much discussion about financing road projects this year because town utilities do not have the cash for infrastructure improvements in 2014.
Town leaders will proceed without financing from the utilities. Officials hope the Redevelopment Commission will kick in at least some money so the town can meet its obligations without having to borrow.
