DYER | The public is invited to the annual holiday tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. Saturday at Town Hall.

Hot chocolate and refreshments will be available free of charge. The Dyer Methodist Church choir will perform Christmas carols, and Santa Claus will be available to visit with kids of all ages.

The tree lighting is a Dyer Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event.

The chamber is also sponsoring Breakfast with Santa from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 1 at the St. John Township Center. The menu includes donut holes, cereal, milk, juice and coffee. The cost is $2 for adults; children under 12 attend for free.

Santa will be available for conversation and pictures. Guests will take their own photographs.
