DYER | The Dyer branch of the Knights of Columbus is scheduled to host its annual dinner and dance fundraiser Saturday.
The fourth annual Paczki Ball, presented by the Rev. Michael J. McGivney Council No. 8082, is set to run from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. at Casa Maria, 500 Northgate Drive.
The event drew 250 people last year.
The traditional pre-Lenten event will feature family-style dinner with Polish food and polka and dance music by Jimmy Kilian, with special guest Chet Kowalkowski.
Dinner includes sausage and kraut, stuffed cabbage, baked chicken, potatoes, a vegetable, salad, bread, coffee or tea and paczki.
Two cash bars, a 50/50 raffle and gift raffle also will be available. Paczki will be served as dessert and will be available for sale after dinner.
Tickets are $25 and available in advance only. Call Ambrose Kapitan at (219) 864-7343 for tickets or to make a donation.
Proceeds will benefit local food pantries and help purchase ultrasounds for pregnancy care centers through a Knights of Columbus initiative.
