ST. JOHN | Enjoy a night of entertainment at Lake Central High School as the Advanced Theater class ends the school year with a special public performance of two, one-act plays.
Performances of "Not So Grimm Tales" and "When Men Are Scarce" are set for 7 p.m. Wednesday and May 28 in the LGI Room of the Freshman Center at LCHS, 8400 U.S. 41. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5.
"Not So Grimm Tales" is a spoof of childhood role models Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and Cinderella. This show is appropriate for all ages and won't disappoint an audience that grew up reading fairy tales about princesses who live happily ever after.
"When Men Are Scarce" is about three roommates with totally opposite personalities and the obstacles that one of the roommates, Maudie, has to go through to convince Olive and Diane that men are not scarce in her life.
The Lake Central Theatre Department encourages the community to support some of its talented students at their last performances of the year. Pam Neth is the director.
