DYER | A fundraiser last month for the future Dyer Dog Park drew more than 100 people, Dog Park Committee officials said.
The chicken and pasta dinner and auction, held Oct. 14 at the Plum Creek Center in Dyer also raised roughly $2,600 for the park.
The Dog Park Committee has been working over the past year to raise funds to build the dog park, which will be in a fenced-in area in Central Park off Calumet Avenue south of 213th Street.
The group’s next fundraiser will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Holiday Craft Fair at Kahler Middle School in Dyer.
The next Dyer Dog Park meeting is Nov. 13 in the main meeting room at Town Hall on the southeast side of the intersection of Hart Street and U.S. 30.
