DYER | No one was injured in an early morning house fire Tuesday that seriously damaged a house at 15504 W. 101st Ave. in Dyer.

St. John Fire Department responded to the fire about 2:45 a.m. said Fire Chief Fred Willman.

Smoke detectors alerted the family to the fire.

Willman said family members were all asleep when the smoke detectors went off. They were able to get safely out of the house and call for help.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
