Sauk Village couple charged in burglary at Dyer residence
DYER | Two Sauk Village residents were charged Monday in connection with a burglary last week in Dyer, court records state.
Warrants were issued Monday for Daniel Reginald Stephens, 36, and Patsy Stephens, 41, of Sauk Village, in connection with a burglary that occurred Jan. 31, Dyer police Cmdr. Joseph Cinko said.
The married couple were charged with burglary as a Class B felony and residential entry and theft, both Class D felonies, police said.
The couple are accused of throwing a landscaping brick through a window at a residence on Illinois Street and stealing a flat-screen television from inside.
Daniel Stephens was arrested in Illinois on an unrelated charge and was questioned about the burglary by a Dyer detective, Cinko said. He admitted he was involved in the burglary, police said.
