DYER | Police are searching for two men after a TCF Bank branch was robbed Tuesday morning.
According to police at the scene, a man approached a teller at about 10:15 a.m. at the bank inside the Jewel grocery store at U.S. 30 and Calumet Avenue.
Police said a weapon was implied, but not displayed, and the man demanded money. He was given a bag containing a dye pack, which later exploded. Police did not say whether any money was in the bag.
The man left in a small gray vehicle occupied by another male. Police say the pair fled west on U.S. 30.
The Jewel store and TCF bank branch remained open Tuesday morning as investigators worked at the scene. There were no injuries.
