DYER | Caregiver Support Group will present a Virtual Dementia Experience presented by Franciscan St. Anthony Adult Day Care of Crown Point at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Blessed Mother conference room at Franciscan St. Margaret Health Dyer, 24 Joliet St. Use the west entrance.
The Virtual Dementia Experience is designed to give the participant the feeling of “walking a mile in the shoes” of a person who has Alzheimer’s or a related dementia. With insights from this simulation, participants can gain a deeper understanding of the coping difficulties that persons with Alzheimer’s or related dementia must endure daily.
To attend this free simulation, registration is necessary to insure enough Virtual Dementia Experience kits are available.

Caregiver Support Group encompasses Alzheimer’s/dementia, cancer, stroke and other adult care responsibilities and is open to family and friends looking for compassion and information sharing, and meets at 2 p.m. the fourth Sunday of every month.
