EAST CHICAGO — Police are searching for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing since Sunday.

Alicia K. Casares, of the 600 block of West 151st Street, was reported missing Monday by her mother, Lt. Marguerite Wilder said.

The mother told police she last saw her daughter Sunday night. Casares could be in danger because of medical issues that require constant monitoring, police said.

Casares was described as 5 foot 3 inches tall and about 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Detective Miguel Pena was seeking to interview Casares' family and friends, Wilder said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pena at 219-391-8400. To remain anonymous, call 219-391-8500.
