INDIANAPOLIS | Three Indiana Republicans have been honored for their efforts to eliminate election fraud.
The East Chicago Republican Central Committee presented Secretary of State Todd Rokita, Attorney General Greg Zoeller and former Attorney General Steve Carter awards of appreciation Saturday for their individual and combined efforts to promote election security.
Rokita, a Munster native and the state's top election official, said he's proud to have worked with the General Assembly to pass laws correcting election security issues that initially arose in Lake County elections, including absentee ballot integrity and voter identification requirements.
