EAST CHICAGO | For the next six (6) weeks through the end of February 2013, the East Chicago Fire Department will conduct testing on fire suppression standpipe and sprinkler systems at businesses and industrial sites in and around the City of East Chicago. As part of the checking process the fire department will lay hoses and check for the location to the nearest hydrants. This may cause some inconvenience for the local residents and businesses. We are asking to be patient to allow us to better serve you in our task.
