EAST CHICAGO | Laini Fluellen Charities, in partnership with Ameristar Casino and St. Catherine Hospital, will host A Pink Tie Affair at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Ameristar Casino.
The evening will feature acknowledgment of key health care leaders, a buffet dinner, silent auction and dancing to the music of the Mike Turner Band. The event will be hosted by Jeanne Sparrow, co-host of the WCIU-TV (Channel 26) morning show.
“This initiative is our way to get the local community involved to raise awareness of Triple Negative Breast Cancer as well as recognize advocates and lift up survivors," said Diane Artis, chairperson of the board of Laini Fluellen Charities.
“We are so grateful for our partnership with Ameristar. As our lead sponsor, they have truly embraced our cause, and because of their commitment, we are able to designate 100 percent of tickets sales to fund our key initiatives," Artis added.
Proceeds will fund TNBC research at the University of Chicago hospital, and awareness campaigns.
Tickets are $75 and include an entry into the LFC Pink Tie Vacation Give-Away Raffle to Orlando, Fla. Raffle tickets may be bought for $10 at www.pinktie2013.kintera.org or contact email@example.com or (219) 961-3601.
