EAST CHICAGO | The East Chicago Public Library is celebrating the opening of the Summer Reading Program on Friday, June 10 at noon at the Main Library, 2401 E. Columbus Drive in the rear parking lot.
Join ECPL for this special event as they kick off the Summer Reading Club with food, fun and entertainment! Gary Railcat's "Rusty" will be on hand as well as East Chicago Central's "Cardinal and the library's own mascot the ECPL Library Book.
Music will be provided by DJ Manuel "Get Down" Feliciano, face painting by local resident, Ms. Nora Cheeks and cartooning by Donna Upshaw. This event is free and open to all ages from pre-school to high school. Come out and enjoy a fun-filled day of prizes, fun and refreshments.
The Summer Reading Program is in partnership with the Foundations of East Chicago.
