E.C. man accused of making child pornography
HAMMOND | An East Chicago man was indicted this week on a charge of making child pornography, federal court records show.
Dante Vasquez, 43, is accused of getting a female child to engage in sexually explicit conduct for video, Hammond federal court records state.
In 2010, Vasquez was charged in Lake Criminal Court with five felonies: two counts of child molesting and one count each of criminal deviate conduct, child exploitation and possession of child pornography, court records show.
That case still is pending, but a docket entry dated Tuesday indicated the state's case might be dismissed in light of the federal indictment.
