EAST CHICAGO | East Chicago Mayor Anthony Copeland will flip the light on the city's Christmas tree at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the corner of Main Street and Broadway.
Hot chocolate will be served at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, and guests will have an opportunity to take family photos with Santa and his elves.
Free supplies will be distributed while they last. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The program is sponsored by the East Chicago Parks and Recreation Department, the mayor's office and the Public Works Department.
