EAST CHICAGO | A School Uniform Drive benefiting all East Chicago public schools will continue through Aug. 5.

New and slightly used boys and girls uniforms, pre- kindergarten through grade 12 can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, at the East Chicago Public Library Main Branch, 2401 E. Columbus Drive, or the Robert A. Pastrick Library Branch, 1008 W. Chicago Ave.

Needed are red, white, and blue polo shirts, blue pants (sizes for pre-K through grade 8 students), blue and khaki pants (for students in grades 9 to 12) and packaged socks.

These uniforms will be distributed during a Back to School Rally on Aug. 10 at EC Central High School, sponsored by Josey Martinez Herrera, Children must be accompanied by a parent to attend the rally.
