EAST CHICAGO | The East Chicago Public Library invites the public to get in the Halloween spirit by stopping in to check out the Halloween displays and materials.

Stop by the Main library, 2401 E. Columbus Drive, to check out the “My Mummy Told Me To Read,” "Whooo, Whooo Likes to Read" and “Fall Into a Good Book” displays.

The public library is the place to go for books on pumpkin carving, Halloween crafts, costume design, horror novels and Halloween tales for all ages.

Stop in any one of eight locations: the Main Library, 2401 E. Columbus Drive; the Pastrick Branch Library, 1008 W. Chicago Ave.; King Center, 4802 Melville Ave.; Pennsylvania Center, 3550 Pennsylvania Ave.; 151st Street Center, 4925 Gladiola Ave.; Roberto Clemente Center, 3616 Elm St.; Heritage Hall, 4506 Tod Ave.; or Marktown, 3509 Spruce St.
