2 Republicans to run for Lake County offices

CROWN POINT | Two perennial Republican candidates filed Thursday for public office.

Mark Leyva is running for the Lake County surveyor's office. He has made several attempts to be elected U.S. representative in recent years.

Arthur Santos Sr. has filed for the office of 3rd District county commissioner. Santos has run unsuccessfully for East Chicago mayor in 2003, 2007 and last year.
